Thanks to all who have contacted 11th Hour Action and taken action of his or her own to organize screenings of the film! Here's what some people are up to:
-Dennis K. from Herbert H. Lehman College has organized a screening on campus that took place on September 18th of this month. He also reached out to Congressman Jose Serrano of the 16th district of NY for a panel discussion member. Some topics of discussion were reducing the number of diesel trucks passing through the neighborhood, remediation of the toxic storage sites, the creation of much needed greenspace, and more.
-Ingrid G. from Barcelona in association with NOW will be organizing an environmental film festival, screening the 11th Hour in the context of Eco Factor. Check out their website at www.cccb.org/now.
-Verdandi W. is beginning to set up a "Transition Initiative" and he envisions several small and large screenings of the film.
-Shahzad A. from Pakistan is organizing 5 screenings around the country under Pakistan's Technical Advisory Panel on Climate Change.
-Meredith B. from the College of St. Elizabeth showed the film on campus on September 4th coinciding with their CSE Green Week. The campus also had guest speakers from NJCORE and gave out reusable mugs.
-James L. showed the 11th Hour at work to an audience of about 50 people with organic food catering. He hopes to organize another soon.
Great work guys! Whether large or small, every effort makes a differences! Keep on spreading the knowledge and taking action.
